In my early 20s I did a spell running music-based startups before settling down into a career in Investment Banking technology. I was lucky enough to work all over the world in senior positions for the likes of JP Morgan, Barclays, Credit Suisse and HSBC (Just to name a few!). I worked on projects ranging from Data Centre greenfield builds, through to developing low latency trading execution platforms. During this time I managed global development teams as a software architect, which is where I was able to build a fairly extensive skillset in what is currently known as “DevOps / SecOps” which has allowed a solid backbone for my entrepreneurial career.
In the later years of my career, I founded 3Gi Technology, who are a global technology engineering firm of 65+ people, specialising in everything from Serverless Cloud Architecture through to AI / Machine learning enablement. 70% of the 3Gi business is supporting Venture Capital or Private Equity backed Scale-Ups and Start-Ups and we also invest and fund our own Start-Up businesses. Most notably RoboShadow, a Cyber Security Start-Up and NCSC for Start-Ups alumni who are currently helping the world level up the Cyber Security gap by providing free internal and external vulnerability assessment capabilities. I also spend time writing code for our new AI powered physical security system which is currently” un-named” as Disney won’t let us call it Jarvis. I’m currently the CEO of RoboShadow of which we have just established “Product / Market Fit” and we are now managing the wonders of navigating the business through to profitability in 2023.
